School Committee & Superintendent

The Superintendent

Robin Millen

About 1,644 students start their day in this district, and one person answers for all of it. Robin Millen leads the Monomoy Regional School District, proposing the school budget, setting academic priorities, and running four schools day to day. She took office on July 1, 2026, after the School Committee voted on December 22, 2025 to appoint her, and she came up through the district itself as its Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment. The Superintendent is hired by and reports to the elected School Committee, which carries out an annual evaluation. Because the district is regional, that committee answers to two towns at once: four of its eight seats are Harwich’s and four are Chatham’s.

The School Committee

The Monomoy Regional School Committee has eight members serving staggered terms, four elected by Harwich and four by Chatham, and their votes carry proportional weight based on each town’s population. The committee sets district policy, approves the school budget, and hires and evaluates the Superintendent who runs the schools day to day. Harwich filled three of its four seats at the May 2026 town election. A student representative, currently Daniel Morgan, sits with the committee alongside the eight elected members. Meetings are public and are streamed on the district’s YouTube channel and carried on Channel 22, which means a Harwich student who shows up, or logs on, can follow every decision.
