Community Organizations

Local history, a public library, the newsrooms that cover your town meetings, and the friends of a national park. Every organization on this page takes volunteers, and several of them are how a resident with no title at all ends up in the room.

Community Organizations

Organization	What they do & contact
Eastham Public Library	The town’s public library, at 190 Samoset Road, serving Eastham for more than a century with books, programs and meeting space. Its Library Trustees are one of the boards residents fill.
Eastham Historical Society	Founded in 1963, it keeps the town’s manuscripts and artifacts and runs local museums, including the 1741 Swift-Daley House. It takes volunteers and welcomes new members.
Friends of the Cape Cod National Seashore	Supports the National Seashore that surrounds much of Eastham, funding a full season of free concerts and lectures, many held at the Salt Pond Visitor Center in town.
The Provincetown Independent	A nonprofit newsroom covering the Outer Cape, including Eastham town government, the Select Board, and county elections.
Cape Cod Times	The daily newspaper of Barnstable County, covering all fifteen Cape towns, Eastham among them.
