Chesterfield and the surrounding hilltowns are served by a small network of non-profits providing housing, food, and land conservation. These are some of the most established, and every one of them takes volunteers.

Town Resources
Some of the services residents lean on most are run by the town itself rather than by a non-profit: the Council on Aging for older residents, the town Library for programs and a card that works across Massachusetts, and the Highway Department and Transfer Station for roads and waste.
